The origin of the Ugg Boots, originally a generic term for boots made of sheep leather lined with sheepskin, is located in the 20’s in Australia. Shepherds found the both heating and ventilating comfort of sheepskin. Yet it took more than fifty years before the official label was founded, thanks to the young surfer Brian Smith. Over the years, the popularity of the shoes grew steadily, until the final breakthrough on the catwalk follows in 1998: UGG Australia was mentioned as one of

the world’s luxury shoe brands for the first time. The combination of durable, breathable sheepskin on the inside and suede or leather on the outside is unique and millions of fans worldwide fell in love with the boots. The brand dropped a high standard for a whole new style of shoes and in the same year as the breakthrough UGG Australia appears in our store for the first time. Now, fourteen years later, UGG Australia is a proud eye catcher in the Eb & Vloed store. At its peak, our collection contained more than thirty different types of footwear for men, women, children and babies. The shoes, boots, sneakers, slippers and (winter) accessories have become an integral part of our range and we let ourselves be inspired continually by the extraordinary history of UGG Australia: from coast to catwalk.
